Founder and Instructor
I created a week long immersion experience for high school students using Hocking College's state-of-the-art recording facility. As far as I know, this camp was the only music camp where there was no audition process and no instrument limitations. Part of my challenge was to bring together the diverse level of talents in to something cohesive.
Campers created original songs in the Mac lab using Garageband. Short lectures and listening sessions touched on songwriting basics and the language of music. Eventually campers were brought together to write and record at least one original song in the studio. Campers came up with their own band names and logos. We held band photo shoots and finally created a website where we could upload our final content. |
